About RVR

River Valley Riders provides horse related activities including therapeutic riding and driving to children and adults by addressing needs in the areas of physical, sensory, neurological, and/or mental health.

River Valley Riders welcomes students from the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and Western Wisconsin. All students are to provide written permission from their physician(s) and undergoes a personal evaluation to assess their individual riding/driving abilities. Lessons are conducted in accordance with the safety, training and instructional guidelines of NARHA. 

River Valley Riders is registered in Minnesota as a nonprofit organization and was founded in 1999 with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

River Valley Riders has eleven Board Members and over 150 volunteers assisting the riders, drivers and horses. Over 5,000 volunteer hours were served in 2009.
