River Valley Riders enriches the lives of children and adults with special needs by providing equine-assisted services, including therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving lessons. Our program helps participants gain self-confidence and self-esteem, build strength, improve balance and hand-eye coordination, while forming meaningful relationships.

 

2022 Lesson Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in River Valley Riders! 2022 lesson times are full.  To join the waiting list, please download, print, complete and mail the following three forms:

  1. Participant's Medical History & Physician's Statement - Must be reviewed, completed and signed by a licensed medical provider.
  2. Participant Liability and Photo Release/Waiver - All sections must be completed and signed.
  3. COVID Assumption of Risk Release/Waiver - Please complete and sign the waiver/release and review the 2022 COVID Protocol Document.

Due to safety concerns for the rider, volunteers and horse, the rider’s weight and balance may limit participation and hour for riding.  Due to safety concerns for the rider/driver and following PATH Intl. recommendations, the minimum age to participate is 4 years old.

Lesson Fees

Participants/families who have been accepted into 2022 programming and received a bill - please click the "Pay Lesson Fees" buttom and select the amount from your invoice.  Payment accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Scholarship Program

RVR offers scholarships in an effort to make equine-assisted services available to all participants who would benefit from the program.  Scholarships are based on financial need.  For more infomation and Scholarship Application.
